All Gone 2010

If I was really quiet these past weeks, unfortunately, it was not because I was tanning somewhere during the Holiday season. The truth is I was at the office, working 24/7 on the latest edition of my All Gone book.

I have been working on a new edition of All Gone every year since 2006, and I just can’t believe this brand new issue is already the fifth in the series !

For the past five years, my last days of december are always the same: Rushing to finish the book in time, working hard to make this one even better than all the previous issues.

If I thought that the past years had already been hectic, I have no words to describe my last hours of 2010. I would like to apologize to my lady first, for everything she has endured, while helping me getting through it. And also to everyone who tried to reach me during this period. It was all about the book (no social life, no parties, not even Christmas celebration). Once the book is at the printer’s, I promise to reply to all my pending emails.

I’m now really proud to introduce the new cover here.

5 years is a milestone. We had to mark the occasion. So, as always, we did two different cover colors, but this time, we tried to give it an even more luxurious feel with nubuck as main material.
If you already have some of the previous books, or if you simply like the picture, just wait until you can hold this one in your hands. The nubuck will blow your senses away !

At the beginning of 2011, I will be posting images of the new book here and on the All Gone website. It’s not totally done yet, but we did our best not to disappoint anyone who supported our work in the past.

I would like to greatly thank my fellow partners for their support, talent, patience, and for bearing me ! Gabriel, Amaury, Massaer, Nicolas, Pascal, juste one word: M.E.R.C.I.

Get ready for the launch of the new All Gone book, late january 2011, at the official All Gone e-store and in a cool bookstore near you. Stay tuned for our little world tour book signing dates…

I’m not in a very festive mood these days.
Too much work and problems coming at me at the same time.
I feel like these Lazzarini’s Companions.

Vivement 2011.

La MJC & colette “Vivre Sans Temps Mort” NB 1500

nblamjccolettetempsmort

I started the trilogy between La MJC, colette and New Balance in 2006 and to be honest, I thought this one would never see the light of day.

Supposed to be released in 2008, the latest one, is named Vivre Sans Temps Mort. For the anecdote, this term first entered the realm of consciousness after students protesters used it during the very famous May 1968 riots in Paris. It means so much to me that I have been using it as my company’s motto for many years.

The shoes are available at colette and Cool Cats, from saturday, december 18th.

Food Talk #6

Last monday, we had an amazing dinner at the recently opened restaurant Bistronomique Le Casse-Noix. The cuisine, made by chef Pierre Olivier Lenormand, was absolutely delicious.
