Food Talk #2 (Thailand edition)

I take advantage of my trip in Thailand to add new reviews to my Food Talk section.

Papa’s Tapas is located on Sairee beach, on the beautiful Koh Tao island.
Honestly, Sairee is the worst part of the island, BUT that restaurant worthes the trip. In addition to a pleasant decor, the place featured an open kitchen, runned by two Swedish chefs. If you love fusion food, you’ll appreciate the menu, and especially the tapas to share with your friends.

IMG_2450
Here we have herb-crumbed mussels with garlic sauce, honey teriyaki baby-back ribs and curry fried prawns. Kind of perfect starters, isn’t it ?

IMG_2451
Lemon and Tandoori marinated prawns skewers.

IMG_2453
Baby-back smoky-glaze ribs.

IMG_2455
White chocolate panacotta with raspberry coulis. So delicious.

Food Talk #3 (Thailand Edition)

Traditional southern Thai cuisine is not so easy to find in Koh Tao.
The best place to eat authentic Thai Food there is probably Lung Pae restaurant. The kind of place that needs to be recommanded to find it. First, you’ll need a good motorbike cause it’s located up in the hills. Second, you’ll need to like local (which means spicy) food as they don’t cook shitty burgers and fries there.

IMG_2609
The first reward when you get there is the breathtaking view on the south side of the island.

IMG_2606
The salad you’ll never forget: lamb shoulder, mango, avocado and grilled asparagus.

IMG_2551
Look at this closely. They called it Royal and Traditional Pad Thai..
The kind of things that makes me think that Thai food is one of the best on the planet.
Noodles, eggs, soja, shrimps, vegetables, tofu, peanuts and of course, the majestic king prawn as the cherry on the cake. A must !
