Today, French radio RTL organised a fustal turnament (indoor soccer) at POPB (one of the biggest Paris venue for music and sports shows). The main difference between futsal and “classic” soccer is that the first
one is more about showtime and entertainement, with lots of goals and technical tricks.

I was there to see a gala game between the Paris Saint Germain and the French players who won
the 1998 World Cup. It was really spectacular and the score ended at 8-8 !

Incredible image ! N-Koum is 18 years old, he hasn’t signed professionnal contract with PSG yet (he usually plays with the CFA2 team) and today, he played against Zinedine Zidane, in person ! Congratulations boy !

It’s always amazing to see how the hardcore fans are always following the team everywhere, singing non stop during the game, and supporting them à la vie, à la mort.

The scene happened a few days ago in Charles de Gaulle airport. Here’s the offical report in the Paris newspaper Le Parisien, this morning…

L’escale parisienne du prince incontesté du bling-bling a pris un tour cocasse en début de semaine et crée un buzz dont internet a le secret. Pour la petite histoire, le rappeur américain Pharrell  Williams, adulé par LVMH, Britney Spears, Madonna ou Justin Timberlake, atterrit  mardi dernier à l’aéroport de Charles-de-Gaulle. Il est six heures, Roissy s’éveille. L’artiste est prêt à tout pour un “Big Mac”. Mais le fast-food n’ouvre qu’à 7 heures et le “Big Mac” n’est servi qu’à partir de 9 heures. Jamais à court d’une facétie, la star du hip hop sûre de sa notoriété, improvise alors une petite danse sur le linoléum du fast- food, pour amadouer les serveuses. A sa grande surprise, il fait chou blanc. Les employées qui ne l’ont pas reconnue, l’observent  d’un oeil morne. Interloqué par ce légendaire sens du service à la française, l’artiste qui a fait filmer la scène, met  en ligne la vidéo sur internet. Réplique immédiate de la firme, qui répond par une vidéo parodique pour redorer son blason. “Cette vidéo reprend les codes de celle de Pharrell Williams. Ce sont les mêmes serveuses qui jouent dans celle-là”, confie une responsable de McDonald’s France. “Le message c’est : ‘Star ou pas star, ça se passe comme ça chez McDonald’s !’”.      Delphine Perez – Le Parisien ©
